Stopped, what are they meant to show you?

Stopped by unmarked car on motorway, 70 mph limit.
Police officer showed driver three photos on a mobile phone. Two
showing 85, one showing 90. Said they were average speeds. Also
said, had the speed stayed at 85, they would have been unlikely
to pull over.Stated at some points speed were in excess of 100.
Explained driver would receive a letter in 3 months giving the
option of court or 3 points + £100 fine.
No actual video shown. Nothing admitted.
1. Is it usual not to be shown any video of alleged offence?
2. Is it possible to view evidence?
Thanks

You must wait until the police write to you.
If they make an out-of-court offer (a course or fixed penalty)
you are not entitled to any evidence. If they prosecute you in
court they will provide you with the evidence they intend to
rely on to convict you. In your case that will probably be just
a statement from the officer.
