       2 speeding tickets within days

       Hello.
I have been caught speeding twice.
       Thursday 6 Feb @4am (heading to the airport) 37 in a 30
       Sunday 9 Feb @approx 6/7pm (returning from the airport) 36 in a
       30
I'm really frustrated with myself as I know the first road and
drive past that camera frequently, I think as the roads were
quiet I had a momentary lapse of judgement.
Less familiar with the second one, but I know I should have been
more focussed, and I think I was nervous as I hadn't driven
since being flashed on Thurs and was just wanting to get home
       and out the car.
I have done a speed awareness course in Dec 2022 so I know this
won't be an option for me.
Has anyone had two speeding fines in quick succession and if so,
       what the outcome was?
I've already sent of my sec 172 for the first one, should I send
off the second one instantly, or wait for the outcome of the
first (giving this confirms within 28 days)?
Please don't berate me, I know I should have been more aware and
I'm already anxious and upset as it is.

There is no point in delaying your response to the second s172
       request.
The outcome will almost certainly be 2 x fixed penalty offers of
       £100 and three points.
If you accept them do not forget to submit your driving licence
details as instructed. You must do this even if you have already
done so when responding to the s172 requests.

The "quick succession" (3 1/2 days) is utterly irrelevant.
You were caught twice, and will face 2 fixed penalties unless
you have a viable defence or otherwise decline the fixed
       penalties.
Historically, when you had to send off your licence for
endorsement (even though there was no physical counterpart to
endorse), it might have been beneficial to stagger them so that
you would have your licence back from the first one in time to
send it off again to accept the second one. Now, as NewJudge
mentioned, you merely have to send off your licence details to
the Fixed Penalty Clerk when you pay the fixed penalty - like
what it says if you join the minority that actually read the
       fixed penalty offer.
General advice going forward, you need to either watch your
speedo more carefully or watch out for speed cameras more
carefully in order to avoid getting caught again. If both of
these options are problematic, it might be prudent to invest in
a satnav that can warn you when you are exceeding the speed
limit and if you are approaching a camera or camera site.
Plenty of people regularly exceed the speed limit. Most of them
manage to avoid getting caught. Some of this will be luck. Some
       luck is self-made.

Thanks both. I wasn't sure if they would give a harsher penalty
as they are so close together.
Noted re sending driver number - I read on another thread
someone received an additional 2 points for not including this!
I do usually have my sat nav connected but didn't have the sound
on to alert me :( knew I should've Uber'd it!

That won't happen to you. What will happen if you fail to submit
your details is that your charges will be dealt with in court.
Both your offences warrant only 3 points each under the
sentencing guidelines, but it may cost you more by way of fines,
costs etc. unless you can persuade the court to sentence you at
       the fixed penalty level.
