Good morning
I just received an email about meditation appointment
A sample of the first page of the email is attached
It is a telephone conversation to reach an agreement between
both parties to prevent going to court and I am expected to
present my defence on that day
Any help will be appreciated

Look at other threads here, it’s normal and mandatory but you
say you’re willing to offer £0 and that will be it. Don’t talk
about your defence, the person running the session is not
legally trained. Just an annoying few minutes out of your day.
If it says anywhere that you should present your defence then
you should complain because this is inappropriate.

You will get a court date but, crucially, you will also see the
date by which the claimant has to pay the court fee. Make a note
of this date and, if you hear nothing, call the court the
following day to enquire about the status of the hearing. It is
likely that the court fee will not be paid and therefore the
hearing will be vacated, meaning this is the end of it for you.
Their tactics are
- Scare people into paying because of the legal action
- Get a default judgement in their favour against people who
ignore court proceedings
So as long as you keep on top of things, they will eventually
give up.
