hi was quite in a rush and did a u turn the other way down
bridge street west and didn't realise that the opposite way was
a bus lane. im just wandering if i have any options of success.

I'll make enquiries about the traffic order and the make and
model of the camera (I'm a bit suspicious of Manchester as
they've still not told me the make and model of the camera at
another location, to the point that I've had to involve the
Information Commissioner).
The last day to make a representation and get the discount
reoffered is 24 September 2023, so you'll probably have to make
a plea for discretion on that date as I doubt the information
request will come back before that.
Is there any compelling mitigation you can put forward? If there
isn't don't make anything up, but if there is now is the time to
say.

Well the video doesn't show any signage, so you could make a
representation based on that. It's not massively important what
you say, the only objective really is to buy us some more time
for the FOI response to come back.

of traffic and in the northward flow of traffic there were no
bus lanes at all so i had no reason to think the southward flow
of traffic had any buslanes. there should have been signage in
my flow of traffic showing that if i did a uturn there would be
a bus lane coming up"

The council confirmed the camera is a Yunex LaneWatch MK3HD,
which is authorised.

Well, it's up to you, but so far nobody here seems to have found
a really strong appeal argument.

If you've made a representation you might as well wait for the
rejection and see what they say. You never know they might mess
up the response.
