Euro Car parks ticket

Dear Forum Members,
I need advice on how to dispute a parking ticket I recently
received. The situation is as follows:
I parked at Mayfield leisure centre for just11 minutes to make
an enquiry regarding a looked-after child in care. I was
attending to an important matter and did not overstay
unnecessarily. However, I have now been issued with a parking
ticket.
Key points:
• I was parked for only 11 minutes
• I was there to make an enquiry about a child in care, which
was a professional and time-sensitive matter.
I’d appreciate advice on:
1. Whether the grace period rule applies in this case
2. How best to phrase my appeal to the parking operator (or
escalate if needed).
3. Any additional steps I can take to strengthen my case,
particularly given the sensitive nature of my visit.
I can provide evidence to support my claim, including the exact
time I was parked and the purpose of my visit.
Thank you in advance for your help and guidance.
Best regards
CK

Have you tried speaking to the manager of the leisure centre?
This is number 1.
