PCN stopping in a yellow box junction (westmoreland
road/aylesbury Bromley)

Hi
I got a notice letter for a pcn (by97079698) on 25/10 for an
incident on 20/10 for stopping in a yellow box, i dont remember
this but it could have been traffic lights suddenly turned red
and i went too early.
Is there any grounds for appeal? I have until tomorrow to pay
the reduced fee
Contravention code 31j. They uploaded the pictures/video online
Appeciate any advice

I know that one well. You are usually better off in the left
side lane as unless there is bus congestion ahead (which you can
usually see), you can still swing round to the right and head up
towards Masons Hill.

What is the car VRM (numberplate). It is pointless blanking this
as we can't get the video.

You look to have fallen asleep - if you'd been awake you would
have exited in the wide open left lane...
There was a time when you could argue the exit wasn't blocked
owing to an empty lane but it won't wash now but you can try.

Thanks, plus there was still room for any cars to turn right, i
didnt anticipate lights changing so quick and car in front was
moving
Is there any other appeal grounds or template letter to use?

You've come on here rather too late for advice if you want to
preserve the discount option. You look bang-to-rights on the
contravention itself, but that's not necessarily the end of the
story, because there could be a 'technical' appeal based on the
council management of the enforcement process. But I see nobody
has yet posted anything for this aspect.
We normally advise OPs to submit some reps and let us see the
response which can lead to a successful appeal due to their
stupdity, but if you're not prepared to forego the discount
option, then paying it now seems your best option.
