You should copy and paste the defence into your preferred word
processor and make sure you keep to the format shown. When done,
save/export it in PDF format.
There is no rush to submit the defence. With an issue date of
5th November and having submitted your AoS, you have until 4pm
on Monday 9th December to submit the defence.

I am ever so grateful for your help. I’m trying to buy my first
home so a ccj would be terrible right now. I do get the
opportunity to pay this still don’t I if this doesn’t work ?
Assuming the judge either quashes this or a hearing date will
come next?

Yes - if the worst happened and you lost in court, providing you
paid the judgement promptly it does not appear on the public
record

I wasn’t going to go as far as court my intention was to pay
before court hearing. I’m hoping this defence will make it all
stop and go away. Or will this go to court anyway? Regardless of
my defence? Is that how it works and they only look at my
defence on the day of court? As if I’m totally honest I don’t
understand any of my defence so I wouldn’t be able to stand up
in court and explain it.

Why would you pay it before a hearing? Even if you were to lose,
you would pay less than the claim amount as the court would not
allow the fake added £70.
You are thinking along the lines of all the low-hanging fruit on
the gullible tree that these vermin hope for. There is ZERO
chance of you getting a CCJ or anything on your credit record.
Just because there may be a claim made against you, that has no
effect on your credit rating. The only way it could affect your
credit rating is if you lost and didn't pay the judgment amount
within 28 days of the CCJ. If it's paid in full within 28 days,
there is no record. It is completely expunged.
We would never advise you to do anything that could risk a CCJ
on your credit record.

Thanks for that, I just don't know how it all works.
Is there a chance that this won't come to court?, i have read
lots of other messages on here and get the impression with this
defence i'm about to send, there is a good chance it won't come
to court? Is this right? Or will it come to court regardless and
my defence will just help in me winning the case?
I'm just worried as i have no idea how to defend myself as i
dont really understand what any of the defence means :-\

The vast majority of DCB 'Legal' claims are discontinued before
court, as was mine from earlier this year. The chances of you
actually going to court are minuscule.
Happy to send you a copy of the DCB discontinuance letter from
my case if it's any comfort.

It will result in a court claim being issued. However, there
will be no court hearing. They discontinue all claims that are
defended.
They rely on you being petrified about the litigation process
and caving under the fear and ignorance of the process. They
will discontinue once they have to pay the trial fee around a
month before the hearing date.
Once they realise that you are not one of the low-hanging fruit
on the gullible tree that gives up out of ignorance and pays,
they move on to the many thousands of others who are not
receiving advice here to pluck from the gullible tree.
In over 99% of these cases, the claim is either discontinued,
struck out or, in the tiny number of more complex ones, end up
being won in court. There is nothing unusual or complex about
your case. It will end up as a discontinuation.
