Bus Gate - Notice Sent to Previous Address

Hi there,
I had moved from a previous address due to a DA incident and
have been homeless up until last month.
Only found out that a bus gate fine was sent to the old address
for an incident in July as the person still in the previous
property hadn't notified me and only just received an email with
pictures of the escalated fines now at the bailiff stage.
I think the person I had left kept that information from me on
purpose so that the appeal time frames lapsed.
Any advice would be great.

Have you directly received any documents concerning the PCN?
Please post up the bailiff email that you mention. Is it your
email address or somebody else's. Just redact your name and
address if present and the email address. And anything not
related to the PCN and/or the bailiff.
How much is the bailiff looking for? Unfortunately there are
long delays at the Traffic Enforcement Centre at the moment so
the advice is likely to be to pay the bailiff to cap your
liability and to prevent the charges escalating. And then try to
recover the money or at least some of it.

No I haven't personally recieved anything. The person who is
still at the previous address was the one who emailed me
pictures of the notices from months ago.
The notices were dated for one at the start of september and one
for the start of october but only got sent those pictures
yesterday on the 5th of november by the person I left.
This is how I found out about the fine.
It's £150 atm.

So you DO have the notices but we haven't seen anything.

Unfortunately the normal reset process we would advise is not
available in Scotland.
I can only imagine that you might write to the council to
explain your address problems.
Others might have better ideas.

Thanks anyway.
I've tried phoning multiple parties about it. Council also said
that it can take up to 56 days for someone to get back to you.
By that time the notice would have escalated again.

This situation seems unfair the OP has no idea the statutory
documents have been send to the OP.
I do not understand why Scotland do not follow the English
system to reset the process if the statutory documents have not
been recieved.
Legally there is no right to appeal once the Charge Certificate
have been served and there is nothing to reset the process.
One thing is that a judical review can raised in Court of
Session but I can understand this can be stressful and
exhausting not to mention the costs.
You could send an email to Aberdeen City Council and politely
plea to reset the process along with your story and give them
your new address.
