Euro parks ticket

Hi. I parked in this pub car park for the first time. It wasn’t
very clear but I thought I had paid the correct fee. Any ideas
please on how to handle this to avoid paying this extortionate
parking charge apparently for not paying for the correct time. I
was on the way to collect my dad in his car, who is a blue badge
holder, but I’m unsure if a blue badge is accepted in a private
car park. As it’s not a penalty charge notice by a council but a
parking charge notice by a private company can they send debt
collectors and go to court if you don’t pay this? Many thanks in
advance!

No debt collectors not bailiffs can send anyone round willy
nilly just because someone alleges you owe them a debt. Whist
debt collectors may become involved later in the process, they
are powerless to do anything and can be safely ignored with no
danger of bailiffs or anyone knocking om your door. The are
utilised to simply get the low-hanging fruit on the gullible
tree, who have no idea how civil law works, to poop their pants
at the threatening language and cough up and pay the scammers.
To get a CCJ on your credit record, there is a whole lengthy
process that involves Pre-ction Protocol letter of claim, the
service of a claim, acknowledgement of the claim, defending the
claim, filing a directions questionnaire, an allocation to a
county court local to the defendant, a mediation session and
finally a hearing where a judge would decide whether the
defendant owed the claimant a debt or not. Once the judge has
made their decision (judgment) the defendant either wins or
loses the claim. Any judgment is likely to be less than the
original claim because fake added fees and damages are not
allowed in the small claims track.
If the defendant was unlucky enough to lose, as ling as the
amount in the judgment is paid within 30 days, there is no
record of the CCJ in the defendants credit file. The only way a
CCJ remains on your credit record is if you don't pay it in full
with 30 days of the judgment or it is paid later than 30 days
after judgment where it remains but is marked as "satisfied".
Any CCJ for less than £600 is unlikely to have an enforcement
order made whereby court appointed bailiffs could come around
and knock on your door to seize property.

Hi. Car parked in pub car park for the first time. The process
is to pay for the ticket and then get this reimbursed in the pub
on leaving. The pub manager was tied up and so due to the delay,
by the time of leaving the car park, they claim the car was
parked for 18 minutes more than was paid for.
Any ideas please on how to handle this to avoid paying this
extortionate parking charge? Do you need to respond to private
car parks?
There was a legitimate reason for running over, which was the
company’s fault. The parking location is not on their website
and so you can’t purchase tickets online which is quicker. You
are forced to buy a physical ticket which you then have to wait
for the pub manager to reimburse this.
Due to being abroad the time period to pay for the ticket has
expired.
A ticket was nonetheless purchased, and it would have cost £1 to
increase the time period and not £45-75 as they have requested.

Too late to do anything about this now as it happened back in
early June. You could have appealed, had that rejected and then
appealed to POPLA and had a good chance of getting it cancelled
as the signage is atrocious.
Now you will have to wait and weather the debt collector
letters. Don't show those to us as they are useless and can be
safely ignored. Come back if/when you get a Letter of Claim or
an actual claim from the CNBC.

Nope, you can pay at any time, if the parking company were to
decline to accept how stupid do you think they would look in
court?
