       Countrywide Parking PCN - Failure To Register Vehicle - The
       Crown Inn, Emsworth

       Hello all
       The driver of the vehicle entered the above carpark, parked up,
       and went to speak to the landlord (they do business with the
       pub). They did not register the car as being in the carpark - I
       understand the procedure should be to enter the registration
       number of the vehicle into a terminal situated in the pub.
       My partner as registered owner of the vehicle has now received
       the Parking Charge Notice. Note that the issue date of the PCN
       is the 3rd May, we received the PCN on the 12th May a full 9
       days later, giving us less time to submit an appeal should we
       need to do so.
       Note the time the vehicle was in the carpark was 6 minutes only.
       The driver has spoken to the landlord who has said they will
       contact the parking company to try to get the charge removed.
       However I thought it best to post here as well, in case that
       doesn't work or the landlord ends up forgetting to make the
       phone call etc

       Is that the royal "We" as in that the vehicle is registered to a
       company rather than to an individual?

       No sorry, 'we' as in my partner and I.
       The vehicle is privately owned, not registered to a company.
       I will edit the original post to make it clearer.

       Whilst there may be routes to challenge this with Countrywide
       (which we can discuss), none of them will be quick, as
       Countrywide are unlikely to accept any appeal, regardless of
       merit. With this in mind, you should work hard to ensure the pub
       does everything they can to cancel this. If the driver does
       regular business with them, it's hopefully in the pub's
       interests to maintain this relationship...

       I will ask the driver to follow up with the landlord in the hope
       that he can assist in cancelling the PCN.
       Should this not be forthcoming then I will follow up on here.

       So the vehicle is registered to only one of you. All
       representations must be done in the name of the keeper. There is
       no ”we”.

       Understood, thankyou.
       The confusion has been caused by me posting on behalf of my
       partner, the registered owner of the vehicle. Yes all
       representation would be done in her name only should the need
       arise.

       A pedantry point: there is no such thing as a "registered
       owner"; it's "registered keeper".
