DWP pip tribunal.

A friend had a pip stopped back in December as a result of a
renewal application.
I gave them a bit of a hand (mainly moral support and form
filling). I also got a letter from the GP basically saying
"nothing changed". This was the only additional info.
A mandatory reconsideration made no difference so a tribunal was
the next step and due in about a fortnight.
Earlier this week she got a call saying "cancelled, it's all
reinstated".
A quick search revealed that by the DWP own figures of those
cases that do go to tribunal 60% are "won" on exactly the same
evidence as already provided.
They want to move on of course, but the impact was very high.
They were at the point of selling their property because their
only remaining income was about 80/week esa (the disability
premium also disappeared).
I will make sure everything is properly backdated but apart from
a DWP complaint and a moan to the MP is their any alternate
process to hold them to account ?

In my limited experience, DWP are bungholes. I’m in the process
of enforcing a six-figure award from the FTT against them. They
just don’t care.

A relative has a chronic "for life" condition that will never
improve. This is stated on all her medical records and documents
including from very well known hospitals in London. There was a
similar point where the PIP was going to be adjusted to the
lower band? after a random, flawed, reassessment, but after
pointing out that the condition hadn't changed, nor ever would
(with medical documentation), they changed their decision...
luckily in my relatives case it was never actually stopped.
Whilst I don't know any proper avenues for complaints as we
didn't get that far, give them both barrels!

sparxy, digressing from my friend.
There is a DWP document that is online somewhere which I
stumbled across.
It contains details of conditions where assessment must be
undertaken by an appropriately qualified medical professional.
That might possibly be of some help.
Though my post wasn't about me - I spend far too much time
travelling to uclh and have a very rare condition with a very
small pool of qualified folk - the initial interviewer recorded
me as "uncooperative and unhelpful" when I questioned him. He
was however probably qualified to adminter my treatment.
From my friends case I think all they can probably do is vent
but they were fortunate to have financial help to get through
it.

Southpaw, hopefully karma will get the specific functionaries.
I noted a news report today related ro "waspi"

But the ombudsman said that up to now the Department for Work
and Pensions (DWP) had "clearly indicated it will refuse to
comply" on its payout proposal, which it said was
"unacceptable".

I just find the level of contempt incomprehensible.
