Unknown CCJ on credit report March 2026- N244 form?
   DIR By: Firstpcntoday

       ---------------------------------------------------------
       Afternoon,
CCJ was filed on credit report this year in March. Received no
letters prior to this regarding claim.
New postal workers in the area. Current property is built on an
existing street, therefore new postal workers have been mixing
door numbers with the door number o the existing street that was
here. Have received the other door numbers post and parcels.
       Could be a possibility
Found about CCJ when speaking to someone at stepchange, was
completely oblivious to this until recently. Only information
that can be provided is a reference number of the claim-
       N1MP260R £282 (18 MARCH 2026)
Definitely outside of the 30 days to pay or contest
Any advice on what can be done to reverse this?
       Kind regards

In what way is this a private parking issue? I’m not saying it
isn’t, but you don’t give any indication that it is either.

       Hello,
I phoned the Civil Business Centre regarding this and they
confirmed it was a parking issue. They could not tell me who it
was by. They said, for me to get the particulars of the case, i
would have to complete an N244 form, to have it set aside and
then to go through the stages al over again.
       Kind regards
Edit: Is there any guidance for me to find out what this
specifically relates to? Where i can go or whom to contact? I
definitely would not like to have this CCJ on file for 6 years

You should write to the court, email or paper, requesting
details of the claim by quoting its reference number. Their
telephone answer is hopeless. They are the ones who granted the
judgment and no details of the creditor are easily available
       from anyone else.

       Thank you for explaining this.
       I shall do as such.
Is there a specific email to reach out to? or from the READ HERE
FIRST section, that displays the table of emails, i am to choose
       from there?
Just to get an idea. If i were to receive case specifics, would
i be able to contest the CCJ, despite it being many months since
       it was registered?
Or is it all dependent on the case specfics?

You would need to apply to set the judgement aside - this has a
cost associated, with no guarantee you'd get it back. If you
choose to go down this route, we can advise on challenging the
       underlying parking charge.
I note you mention speaking to Step Change, which suggests you
may have wider debt issues. It's not the purview of this forum
to offer debt advice, so I don't expect or want you to provide
any background here, but if you do have other debts beside the
two parking CCJs about which you have posted on here, you may
wish to continue seeking professional advice as to the best
options for you to take. It may be the case that the money you'd
have to front up to challenge this matter could be better used
elsewhere. But that's not for this forum to advise on.

I do have other debts, however with the help of step change, i
am making progress towards them. I would find it incredibly
difficult to obtain any credit and fix my credit report for the
next 6 years. I am 30, therefore this is a critical point in my
       life for future advancements.
I would like to explore options regarding this. This is
obviously 6 months down the line and i could satisfy the debt or
ignore it for 6 years. Both will be detrimental.
I think once i get the case specifics, i shall update here to
see what the original contravention was and how best to resolve
it. At that point i will decide which action to take.
I appreciate your perspective on this.
Would you be able to direct me of how to obtain any contact
       information for CNBC please?
       Kind regards

If you are already engaging with Step Change they may well be
able to help you with the practicalities of the set aside: How
to set aside a County Court judgment (CCJ)
  HTML https://www.stepchange.org/debt-info/ccj/set-aside-ccj.aspx
The two main set aside options are a set aside with consent
(where the creditor [the parking company] agree to the set
aside) and without consent (where you apply without agreement
       from the creditor).
A set aside with consent has a smaller fee, but the parking
company will likely only agree to this if you agree to pay their
alleged debt in full. If you intend to defend the parking
charge, you'll need to go down the route without consent.
