PCN 11u Camden

I got a parking ticket from Camden Council today, i was working
for a customer and i parked up outside, my customer paid for my
parking online and so i thought i was covered.
When i had finished the job i went back and saw i had a ticket,
the problem is that i had parked in a 'pay n display' bay and
not the residents bay which was directly next to it.
So although payment was made for parking i was parked in the
wrong bay.
Is this just my own fault and i pay the fine or should i appeal
showing them that payment was made i had just mistakenly parked
in the wrong bay, do they look at this circumstances ?
If i should appeal should i not mention I had parked in the
wrong bay or just play it off as i have paid for parking why did
i receive this ticket etc?

You can try a polite ask for an honest mistake and with evidence
of visitor permit.
If you post the PCN we can look at details.

The paper you recieved inside the Yellow Warning is the PCN, not
what it says on the website. If you post if that would be great

It looks like a clearly signed pay bay so all you have is an ask
for discretion.
But the visitor booking doesn't explicitly say anything about
having to be in a permit bay so maybe there's scope for
confusion.

I was parked here, end of bay just in front of where this black
car is in the pic

So a clear case of you not knowing, or having it explained to
you, that a visitor permit can only be used in a bay for permit
holders, not in a pay-by-phone bay. So as SFM says, you should
submit representations on this basis, because the sign where you
parked is clear. This is mitigation so if they reject, an appeal
to London Tribunals will fail because adjudicators cannot
consider mitigation when deciding on a case. They can however,
request that the council reconsider their decision to refuse.
