Yes send that appeal in order to start the process it will show
that you are willing to defend the Parking charge throughout the
       process.

Have just tried to submit appeal online as stated on the notice
at pcm.appealpcns.co.uk but it shows no option to appeal, only
the option to pay the £60 charge. When I click on the link on
their website they give to appeal in the FAQ's section
www.paymypcn-uk.co.uk it takes me back to the same page to pay
the charge. I am literally unable to submit my appeal in time
online as i should be able to (according to their own notice)
for the charge to be held at £60 whilst an appeal is considered.
This means that the charge will increase to £100 from tomorrow.,
so any appeal i do make, if it's rejected the charge will be
£100 which is ridiculous . The notice says i can also send my
appeal by post, but as I believed I had the time and option to
appeal online, which is my intention, I'm being prevented from
doing so. There is no email address to contact them. Don't know
       what to do now. Help!

So, appeal got rejected today, they have not addressed any of
the points raised in my appeal re: confusing
timescales/postcodes/no evidence showing vehicle actually parked
and the fact that the postcode stated on the notice is for a
public road and therefore not under there domain, non PoFA
compliant. They say they appreciate the circumstances I have
outlined, notice is compliant blah blah. They also say if no
further evidence is provided they will deem this to be their
final decision, followed by, you have now reached the end of our
internal appeals procedure! Any advice as to if there's any
point in fighting this further, I just feel they're really
taking the mick on this as the appeal points are valid. I've
posted my appeal and their response.
       Thanks.

Search the forum for other PCM cases and any cases mentioning
“Eliot vs Loake” which these companies routinely trot out. It’s
       nonsense and easily dismissed.
If they accept your appeal, they get no money. If they reject
your appeal you might give them money. It’s what they do.
You now have to ignore letters from debt collectors and respond
in due course to a Letter of Claim, then subsequently file a
defence to a county court claim.
If you research this, you will see that many similar cases are
discontinued if properly defended. It sounds like you have a
valid defence. So use it in due course.
You should write your defence for the appeal to the IAS, which
will be rejected, but which means that you have demonstrated
engagement with the process and which you can reuse for your
county court claim defence in due course.
