PCN Southampton council double yellows

PCN no: SN78385289. “Parked in a restricted street during
prescribed hours”. Double yellows were completely faded off as
seen in the photos attached, the first photo is the councils
best “evidence” and the following photos are taken by me. Reg is
D8 MFK. First post here, sorry if I have left out important info
or done this wrong.

Unsure specifically what I missed but let me add more details.
The address was 1 portswood ave in Southampton. I am looking for
guidance to appeal on the grounds of the double yellows not
being visible. Here is a link to images of the PCN.

The lines only have to be substantially compliant and are
visible to the front and rear but maybe a bit missing at rear.

We can give you the legal position but we're not clairvoyant as
regards how the adjudicator would see this matter.
Legal requirement to maintain markings such that as regards the
traffic authority they adequately convey the underlying
restriction through traffic signs prescribed for the purpose
which must be substantially compliant with regulatory
requirements.
As already posted, DYL are visible front and back in the CEO's
photos.
Visible enough in the circumstances?
Who knows?
99+% likelihood that the council would reject representations,
so ultimately the adjudicator would determine the matter with
the full penalty in play.
I suggest you/the registered keeper take the matter as far as
you can without bringing the full penalty into play.

The enforcement officer used angles and a flash light to make
them easily visible in his photos. In my photos the lines are
not visible where I’m parked. Do you advise that I pay at the
discounted rate now or make an appeal and if so what should I
say for best chance of success
