I agree.
Red or yellow lines on private land may have an implied meaning
but are only legally relevant if the signs define their meaning
under the contract the driver enters into.
A long time ago I’d go to IBM Warwick (now closed!) when it was
incredibly busy and I once ended up having to park all day on
double yellow lines. “They’re only IBM double yellow lines” was
my correct interpretation, and nothing came of it as expected.

There are a number of appeals on this forum that as long as you
follow a basic principle and Taylor it to your circumstances
that will suffice. Do NOT appeal using the term driver. You need
to appeal as the registered keeper.
