CEL appear to be running the one claim they have filed
themselves, rather than passing it off to DCB, this might
decrease the chances of discontinuing.

You should at the very least respond to any 'Letter of Claim'
they send before any other claims - court should be treated as a
last resort - some judges will take a dim view of a defendant
ignoring letters and allowing a case to end up in court without
having taken prior steps to resolve the dispute.
Another thing to have in your back pocket - assuming they intend
to pursue all 5 cases, they should have filed 1 claim for all 5,
not 1 at a time. If they advance any other claims in respect of
such materially similar cases, you may wish to look up 'abuse of
process', Henderson v Henderson and the concept of estoppel.
