UKPC Ltd - not parked correctly within the markings of the bay
or space

Hi
I am the keeper of the vehicle specified in the claim.
The alleged offence took place on 13th March 2026 in a
non-payable car park in a retail park in Lincoln, UK.
Since that time I have received a total of 11 letters including
four from UKPC Ltd, two from ZZPS, two from GCTT, two from Oak
Legal Services and now the latest from dcb Legal who have sent a
Letter of Claim. To date I have made no response to any letter.
The photo received shows the rear wheels of the vehicle on the
line of the parking bay. The driver disputes the claim as the
narrow size of the parking space at 2310mm wide between the
lines is only marginally wider than the vehicle at 2.0 metres
wide rendering the parking space barely fit for purpose as it
leaves only 310mm for access ie 155mm each side if parked
perfectly centrally.
As the driver has poor mobility an automatic step attached to
the car is used to depart and access the vehicle on either side
adding to the overall width of the car and taking up all of the
parking space. The driver therefore always attempts to park as
far up to the lines as possible on the passenger side to allow
better access on the drivers side.
It should be noted that the driver had parked in an end bay and
the fact that the tyres were ON the line of the parking bay did
not therefore hinder a futher car parking in the adjoining bay
as it was a road way to that side.
Can you please advise if I must answer the most recent letter,
ie the Letter of Claim from dcb Legal and if so could you advise
how that might be worded.
I should add perhaps that as I have been away I have left myself
only a few days to reply and would very much appreciate a quick

ZZPS/GCTT can be ignored.
You should reply to a Letter of Claim

Your response will be ignored but by doing so you are laying a
paper trail which the courts can take into account in future.
You are likely to receive a county court claim in due course
which you will need to defend.

Make sure you reply as the keeper and do not identify the
driver.
