       Parking Eye wrongly issued fine

Had to leave my car overnight in a car park due to mechanical
       issue, fined.
I park at a retail car park as it's got 3 hours free parking
when I run short errands in the city and its only a short walk.
Short story short, in the evening one night when it was dark,
my car's lights don't turn on for whatever reason. I deem it
unsafe to drive due to this as no lights would make driving and
identifying hazards difficult. I was unaware that the lights
would become or were faulty in some way. Before I get a taxi
home, I speak to a security guard and explain the situation, he
says give me the reg, which I did, and he will relay so I don't
get fined, I was given a 24 hour leeway period and collected at
9:30 am the next morning, 14 hours after I originally parked. I
get fined anyway, meaning the information was not properly
       relayed or it was ignored.
I have made an appeal with phone logs, texts of me asking for
advice from my petrolhead dad and told them to check CCTV of me
talking to the security about it and getting a taxi home. I
explained the full story and included a relevant timeline for
CCTV. The company is ParkingEye and of BPA. I understand its
also a civil matter as its a private car park.
What can I expect? The car was unfit to drive in those
       conditions at that time. England.

You need to post up PCN both sides and signs a link is provided
on this site. It looks as if you have made a schoolboy error by
appealing as the driver. Have you had a reply from Parking eye
       as yet.

It’s a “civil matter” but it’s not a “fine”, it’s an invoice for
payment under the contract the driver entered into by reading
       the signs and then parking.
