Is it worth getting a lawyer?

A Little bit about me.
I have 9 points on my licence. (I know I should be more
attentive to my speed limit and pay attention to camera signs)
I am the same person that wrote this post:

I have once again gotten a speeding ticket, totally might fault.
Didn't see that the camera was not just for the red light. Did
43 in a 30.
Am going direct to court on this, no option given to go into
speeding course as they say I this exceeds my allowed points.
Due to my history (Went to court in January and get given a
second chance), is it even worth getting a lawyer for this?
I am kind of resigned that I will get my licence suspended and
am preparing for the worse, however I still want to argue that I
need my licence for work and this was just me being completely
distracted and not used to having less cars on a road that
usually busy. (I know this is not the best defence but think
being honest is the only thing I got)
What is the weight that a lawyer might bring here and could they
overturn this?

What exactly do you mean by that?
If you have nine points on your licence, do you mean you went to
court in January and they imposed no points?

So I had 9 points on my licence since before going to court. In
January I was in court and they just removed my oldest offence
that had 3 points and put this last one.

Nothing to do with points, you were not offered a course because
you were doing 43mph which exceeds the threshold for the offer.
When you say you were given a second chance in court, what do
you mean? It can't have been a successful EH argument as you
would be on 12 points but with no disqualification for 'totting
up'. Were you acquitted due to the late NIP defence?
Either way, this should not affect your opportunity to use
an(other) exceptional hardship argument in court as to why you
should not lose your licence. Losing your job alone is not
usually an accepted reason. Impact your ban would have on others
would be more effective, but it is a difficult hurdle to jump
these days. Other than job, what are your reasons?
BTW, this reads like you knew you were exceeding the limit but
didn't think that particular camera would catch you.

So basically you had 6 active points on your licence at the time
of the offence?

No I had 9 points. I got punished in court and got to the
appeals part where they said they were going to suspend my
licence and if I had anything I wanted to say to prevent that.
I can't remember exactly what I said, something about needing
the licence for work and that I was just distracted by it.

That would not have succeeded as an "exceptional hardship"
argument.

Courts do not do that. The points automatically become inactive
for "totting up" purposes three years after the date of the
offence.
You've got o help us a bit here if you want meaningful advice.
Just providing small snippets of what happened (some of which
are clearly wrong) doesn't help.
As a start, what were the dates of the offences which led to
your previous points and of the one which led to your last court
appearance?

As I mentioned I cant remember exactly what I said. Just that I
got to that stage and later I only got a fine for £80

In the start of this post I posted my previous post with
everything you need to know about my earlier issues.
I have no idea if it ran out, what I do know is it hadn't been 3
years.
It doesn't really matter anyways cause I was accused of 5
different speeding incidents at the time however they only put 3
points on my licence.
I also don't understand why my question has to do with earlier?
Base of the things, I was in court, they let me continue to
drive in January and now I am going again, is it worth or not to
get a lawyer?

Because what you've said so far on this thread doesn't really
make any sense.
What you say the court did in january isn't how the process
works.
In order to help you now people really need to know the
background to your current situation - and that includes the
outcome of your court appearance in January. Unfortunately you
didn't come back and update that thread at the time, and now you
seem to have forgotten - or to have misunderstood - what
happened at court in January.

There's no point coming here asking for advice if you don't want
to answer questions you are asked.
