LB Redbridge 47j - Stopped on a restricted bus stop or stand

Hi
I picked up my wife with her shopping and briefly stopped at a
bus stop. Anything reasonable I can challenge this, I feel I got
an unfair PCN as outlined on a previous post recently - v
confusing Pay and display bay....

How long have you been living and driving in London ? Restricted
bus stops like this are all over London with CCTV enforcement
too. There is a sign here: -

but the broad yellow line should have alerted you.
Having said the above, councils and TfL have created many long
bus stops, but only put up a single sign at one end, the end
with the bus stop sign and shelter. Appeals have been won at
London Tribunals on the basis that the signage is inadequate.
Adequacy is a requirement in Regulation 18 of The Local
Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales)
Regulations 1996. Looking at this bus stop, I don't think you
have a strong case, but let others comment. Very long bus stops
where several buses can stop tend to only have a single sign,
and it is this that has won appeals. Redbridge will inevitably
reject any reps you submit thus forcing you to London Tribunals
for a decision. They will reoffer the discount to "encourage"
you to pay.

Yep should have noticed it on his occasion….. but didn’t…looks
