GroupNexus issues parking charge at petrol station forecourt in
Tottenham

Hello and hope all is well.
A parking charge has been issued for an overstay at a petrol
station forecourt, approx. 1 hour 8 minutes. The driver attended
the site to use the vehicle washing facilities and spent £30
(prove of payment is retained), the type of vehicle in question
is a van, which would take a bit longer to wash than if it were
a small or medium car. Upon the parking charge being received
the driver went back to the site to discuss with the staff
members to cancel the parking charge and they say that they are
unable to assist. They advised that if you know you will be
staying longer than the specified time limit of 45 minutes you
must come into the store and register your vehicle but none of
the signs advise of this and where the washing facility is
located on-site it is not signposted advising the time limit
neither does it advise of registering your vehicle.
Can anybody advise on how to respond in an appeal or if this
parking charge is unenforceable due to their wording, Freedom of
Protections Act 2012 etc? Images have been uploaded and attached
below.
I really appreciate your assistance with this. Thank you.

Read this open letter from the CMA;
HTML https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/6a5784276d6d5c7e2845ca02/open_letter.pdf
You situation is highlighted and the CMA say that this behaviour
by the operator is very questionable.
Furthermore, the NtK from GroupNexus is not POFA compliant as it
fails to correctly identify the creditor - this has already been
proved at the POPLA appeal stage so, in theory, is an easy
appeal at the POPLA stage.
