       Parking Charge Notice - Kennick Sands Cornwall - Initial Parking

       Hi all,
       I received this Parking Charge Notice from while I was on
       holiday in Cornwall last week. I don't have a record of having
       paid for parking though it was paid for (coins in the machine,
       input license plate & displayed the ticket on the dashboard).
       I note they have provided entry/exit times but not explicitly
       stated that the parking time was overstayed nor made note of how
       long was paid to park for. I intend to appeal it, any help would
       be much appreciated!

       Please post the rear of the notice.
       Presumably you have to input the reg of the car?  How long did
       you pay for?

       Thanks for your reply, I've edited the post & added the back
       page. I believe an hours parking was paid for (though I'm not
       sure if it was more), if thats accurate then it has been
       overrun. But I'm wondering if this can be appealed especially
       since they have not stated this specifically, nor provided any
       record of what parking was paid for

       They will have a record of times paid for against vehicle
       registration numbers, which were presumably entered on the
       machine at time of parking. You had a ticket which said the same
       thing.
       The driver entered into a contract by reading the signs and
       parking, and their notice is now an invoice for payment under
       that contract. The liability rests with the driver, who can be
       identified by the keeper if wanted, but if not the liability can
       be transferred to the registered keeper under the stipulations
       of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012.
       If not paid, the driver/RK can be taken to court for breach of
       contract for up to six years.
       There may be technical failings with their notice which fail the
       requirements of PoFA 2012, but they will dismiss any appeal
       based on this and it's likely a county court claim will
       eventually happen.
       Most of these claims are discontinued eventually if defended,
       but we're talking about a period of several months to a year
       before that happens.
