Thanks all for your help. So it looks like there is a CPZ
however there is not any signage that I can see, I’ve put photos
on the original post and street view shows none either. All of
the parking signs on the road are only residents parking signs.

Unfortunately, the law does not require that every yellow line
is signed, placing CPZ signs at every vehicle entrance into a
controlled zone suffices.

In a CPZ the entry signs control single yellow lines. There is
only need for a timeplate if a particular line is differently
restricted from the CPZ.
You are in Poets Corner (PC) zone - a small zone but as it
operates on Sunday and differently from adjoining zone it must
have entrance signs at all entries so you can have a look. At
adjudication councils are often bad and provding such evidence.

Good info because GSV dated Aug. 2025 only shows HS on the CPZ
signs, similarly with the permit holder places in Aubrey.
So OP, is your permit HS or PC?

My permit is PC - as they created a new zone within the last
year.
Unfortunately though I’ve just returned from work and found that
they did install CPZ signs recently at the entrance to the road
for the PC zone - so I take it that the restrictions on the
yellow line will be valid.
Given the above think I’m inclined to just pay and move on, as I
think the PCN is valid and Waltham Forest have no inclination to
waive these kinds of offences sadly
