You stopped and a person alighted.
The road marking is clear. It is also white which means that the
exemption applies for the same period as the RR prohibition at
that location. The preceding RR has DRL markings. The upright
sign is placed behind you and IMO you would not have been able
to read it without either reversing the car or getting out. You
       did neither.
On these facts I could not see an adjudicator finding other than
you stopped for the purpose of letting someone alight which is
not an exemption to the restriction.
       Wait for other views.

Any other thoughts on this? My only genuine argument is the
angle of approach, presence of tree and foliage during approach
and the busy merging traffic which means it's difficult to
notice the sign at that point of entry into the street. If
that's not good enough then I should probably pay up.
Would appreciate any reference for the appeal letter.

       Hi Mods,
While looking at an angle to challeng, I noticed that the street
name where contravention has occured seems wrong. pCN says it's
Purley road rather than Russell hill road which is the actual
stree. Purley road that is mentioned here is an adjacent street
as shown by the Google maps link here.
Is this a viable get away card?
What's mentioned in PCN is purley road

Actual street name is - Russell hill road

       Contravention occurred here.

Appreciate if someone could take a look as I'm running out of
       time to challenge.

It's worth putting in reps on the wrong location issue, but
don't expect them to roll over and cancel; you'd have to take
them to London Tribunals for an unbiased decision. GSV confirms
you are correct on the street name.

In that case should my challenge be on the basis that the
contravention did not occur as I did not stop at Purley road? Or
is it that the location mentioned does not correspond to the
       evidence provided?
       How would I frame this?
Should I include any other points in my challenge?

The contravention did not occur, because you never stopped at
       the street on the PCN.

Hi all, I noticed on the TFL website that the Appeal has been
rejected, awaiting the details via post. Is this worth taking
to the tribunal and if I do so should I first pay the reduced
       amount before appealing to tribunal?
       Thanks for your guidance

Paying the discount closes the case and access to adjudication.
It is up to you whether you pay or take them to adjudication,
but remember you must risk the full PCN penalty at London
Tribunals. Of course, if you win, you pay nothing, and there are
no other costs at all. It's a classic double-or-quits gamble
       basically.

Post up the NoR when you get it. If the location is wrong you
will win, albeit it might take an adjudication to confirm. See
