LB Redbridge 11u Parking without parking of payment charge,
       Grosvenor Rd, London E11

       Hi all
I just took my son to the doctors and thought I had parked where
my annual parking permit was valid. I find the signage in the
area confusing and dont think it is fair that I have a parking
ticket on return to my car. Is there anything I can raise here
to challenge ? I have included the PCN tomorrow and the signage
where I parked and further down the road. I dont think it is
clear that my permit is not valid where I parked . I have
included further signage a bit further along the road which also
in my view makes it more complicated to find parking then it
       should be...

The google Streetview is from Sept 2024, has the sign for the
bay but not with the permit sign which was put there is this
year when the permit scheme was introduced.

The last 2 photos are from further down the road. Its very
confusing. Any advice would be appreciated. Want to avoid an
expensive doctors visit for my sick 9 year old if I can. If you
need any further info please reply.
       Thanks

It's a permit parking area so you could park anyway on unmarked
       kerbside with the right permit.
Non-permit holders can park in signed bays and it looks like you
parked in a pay bay. If it were a shared use bay (permit and
pay) you would have been OK.
Redbridge doesn't use much discretion these days so is unlikely
to cancel this but worth a try.

I just thought once I was inside the permit area (which I was)
       it would be ok…

How long did you park for. The first hour is free in Redbridge.

I was back within the hour. But I didn’t use the RingGo app as I
thought my permit covered where I was parked…

What is the code on your annual permit?
It would need to be WD to be valid there.

Yep WD on permit. But permit does not apply in that bay although
it does in the next one and further down the road. So confusing.

       So confusing.
Sorry, but I cannot follow your account.
We just need the PCN with all details left in, the council's
photos plus what you have...all in focus pl!
       Are you the registered keeper?

       Redbridge Traffic Orders
  HTML https://redbridge.traffweb.app/traffweb/1/TrafficOrders
The traffic order shows WD zone starts outside 1a Grosvenor
Road. Their CPZ map shows it starts at the high street. CPZ Map
  HTML https://my.redbridge.gov.uk/map/permit-parking-zones
       I assume
       the Traffic Order takes precedence?
Outside the Montesorri and the church is payment parking. WD
permit doesn't apply (according to Traffic Order). I assume you
       parked there?
However, the signs in your (fuzzy) photo appear to be
conflicting. The sign for start of WD appears to be outside the
       church. This is wrong.
They've overlapped it with the payment parking. I can see why
you were confused and thought it was OK to park there.
Need others to sense check it but I'd say it's a slam dunk for a
       cancellation of the PCN.
They will probably rely on 'except in signed bays' but I'd
certainly argue the signs cause confusion.

You are correct about where I parked. However I have had
received a rejection, I will post their rejection of my
       challenge here now
