13 PCNs TOTALLING £1,080 IN Fines (TfL - Blackwall and
Silvertown Tunnels)

Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone can give me some advice because I'm feeling
pretty defeated!!!
I've ended up with 13 PCNs now totalling £1,080 after my Auto
Pay account was cancelled without me realising.
Esentially my wallet was stolen so I had to cancel my bank card
and TfL tried to take an Auto Pay payment, it failed as the card
had changed, and they automatically closed my Auto Pay account.
The only email they sent about this ended up in my spam folder
somehow , so I had no idea.
By the time I realised what had happened, low and behold letters
starting piling up at my doorstep, I instantly rectified the
card on my account but by then i built up 13 PCNs (as i use the
tunnel twice daily for work). Logically speaking, if I'd known
my Auto Pay had been cancelled, I obviously wouldn't have kept
using the tunnel (so it was an honest mistake)
I explained all of this in my innitial appeal, but TfL rejected
it and refused to apply any discretion. As I understand it, it
is now on the next stage (the tribunal). (i wasnt aware of this
website when i first got my fines or i wouldn't have done the
first appeal myself but oh well!))
Has anyone been in a similar situation or had any success at the
tribunal? I know I'm responsible for checking things, but £1,080
feels incredibly harsh given the circumstances.
Just looking for a last bit of hope before I somehow fork
together over £1,000!! ;D

Please post up one of the PCNs, your representations, and their
response. Post scans/photos of the real documents, not
transcriptions, please. I am surprised TfL have been so
obdurate, tbh.
