Euro Car Parks Locksbottom

I have received a parking charge notice from Euro car parks
today for something I don't understand. The breach of terms
states "No valid pay and display/permit was purchased for this
vehicle". There was no option to enter your registration at the
machine and I purchased a ticket that had not expired.
It was displayed clearly on the dashboard and the PCN was
stuffed down into the bulkhead under the bonnet, I didn't see it
at first. The PCN was placed about 6 inches away from the ticket
I had purchased. Is it worth appealing or should I just ignore?
I've got little faith in BPA who I gather are still funded by
the operators themselves or has this changed? Many thanks

The normal advice is to wait for a postal issued Notice to
Keeper.
Be sure to keep the parking receipt.
Never reveal the driver's identity.
So when talking about matters you always say, "the driver did
this and the driver did that"
Are you the Registered Keeper?

Yes Ive kept my ticket, PCN and the wrapper it came in. This is
beyond stupid and a waste of my time. I've recently lost my
father, I was visiting my Uncle who had a heart attack shortly
afterwards and now Ive got to deal with this on top. Would any
compensation be possible for wasting my time?

Okay - this looks to be a Sainsburys Store Car Park - are you a
customer?
I suspect that the hospital next door has insufficient space so
they charge at this location as a result.
The images on GSV are from 2018 so I cannot see which type of
payment machines they are using - how sure are you about the non
VRM entry requirements?

Certain. The payment machine had very few buttons. It took a
long time to respond but did eventually work
