NIP - Speeding 25mph in a 20 mph - automatic camera

Hello all,
I got my license only a year ago and got an NIP for speeding
25mph in a 20mph road caught by automatic camera.
How do I ensure I get only a speed awareness course ? Is it
advisable to call them? I also don’t mind paying a fine but
would want to avoid points on my license.
Any advise would be appreciated.

Make sure that you do your speeding in an area where speed
awareness courses are offered and available.

You cannot ensure it.
The police will almost certainly offer one (provided the offence
was not in Scotland) but there's nothing you can do if they
don't.
Calling them is pointless.
Keep an eye on things to make sure that your driver nomination
has been received. If you hear nothing in about three weeks,
contact them. You do not want to be charged with failing to
provide driver's details. The offence carries six points.
