Hi all me again. You may think I am an utter idiot for this but
hear me out. Really didn't mean to be a pavement hogger it is
not nice.
I went to see my mum who has mobility issues and a blue badge
issued by Hounslow Council (HC). There is not alot of space on
the pavement agreed but enough for someone in a wheelchair or
pushchair to safely pass. The pavement is wide and much bigger
than it looks in rhe picture.
My brothers and sisters cars are there and cannot move anymore
to give me space and they were not home anyway. What you cant
see is a huge telephone post in front of our drive so this is
the only way for me to park and reverse safely.
I needed to take my mum out and it takes her a while to safely
get in and out of the car. I had my brother with me too and he
has no independent road safety skills as he has autism. The road
I reverse into is very busy so need time to get them both in
safely and this is the only way. The main road is narrow and
buses and cars pass on either side, and there are cars parked at
the side of the road and they need to stop to pass. I once
parked sideways on the pavement big mistake as it blocked
traffic.
There is no pay and display and the other place to park across
the road had no space as that is my only other option.
I saw someone as I came out but was too late as I didn't realise
I was getting a ticket he had a hi vis jacket. He must have seen
me and my mum coming out of the house but she walls slowly with
a stick and physical support from me, she cannot go out alone
independently.I took the picture about 5/6 minutes after my mum
was in the car it was really hot so couldn't leave her and chase
the guy
Do I have to take this on the chin or is it worth appealing?

Is this your pic.
Two things.
1. There is no exemption for what you describe unless it
qualified as an emergency.
2. The car is presumably rented which means it will be out of
your hands at NTO stage.
But you can make an informal challenge and hope for discretion,
is by take.

Oh no. Thank you. Yes that is my pic just to show I couldnt have
moved in further. Sorry is NTO notice to owner? I am not sure
how to collect mt mum otherwise. Such a pain

FWIW it seems you could have gone about a metre further.

Park on the road by the dropped kerb if this serves her house
alone.
All of what you've said goes to mitigation and I am 99.99999%
certain the council would not exercise discretion.
Enterprise are poor at dealing with NTOs which would heap
confusion on the whole process. You could play the game, but not
without some risk.

The pole is to the right so I can't park at an angle.
Could I be cheeky and say it was an emeegency to help my case ;D

Thanks John, it may look that way but my mum wouldn't have been
able to get in the front. I need to be able yo assist her when
i'm driving. I would have scraped by on the bush and got stuck
because of the two other cars and the pole. My mum wouldn't have
been able to get to the car atall. I can only exit via the gap.
The space is misleading

Ah if HC serve the NTO out of time maybe it will help.
Unfortunatley I cant parke on the dropped kerb, think I
mentioned why in my orginal post. Did that before blocked
traffic coming in two directions, and my mum takes too long to
get in so wasn't realistic. It is a narrow road traffic passes
two ways including buses. Would I have not got a ticket anyway
for parking on the dropped kerb vs partial parking in the drive?

You can park on the road against (but not on) a DK with the
consent of the house's occupier.
It would appear from GSV that then, because of the additional
width created by the opening to Benedict Drive, there would be
room for traffic to pass your vehicle during the assisted
boarding.
