Forgot to validate exit ticket from M&S Car Park

Hello all. I hope we're not going to fry too much today

We have a new parking scheme at M&S, Ricky which became
effective in March. We are allowed 1 hour parking and have to
obtain a free car park ticket which we have to scan at a machine
before driving out. Scheme run by Euro Car Parks. I pretty much
knew that it would only be a matter of time before I would
forget to do this one day, even though yesterday i had the
ticket to scan from the cashier. That in itself was incredible
as I was at least able to be served by a human rather than the
normal self-service machines!
I had to visit elderly relatives in Surrey and didn't realise
until i was long off-site and far away. On my return last night
I went back to the car park. The scan machine was still on, and
validated my ticket. Unfortunately it didn't recognise my Reg
No, so had to enter it all in. Normally as you type it in, the
screen recognises and produces the full number below the cursor
which you just tap on to confirm. I thought that by going back
to the machine, the same day and validating it, albeit too late,
might help any appeal. Is it worth contacting Euro Car Parks to
make a representation (Obviously as the Registered Keeper on
behalf of the driver)? I spent almost £20 and still have the
receipt. Thanks in advance.

OK. Well first of all, the incident only happened, so no Parking
charge notice has come in yet. I telephoned for advice to M&S
and any queries about the car park are between the driver and
Euro Park, according to the prerecorded advice. This seems to
tie in with what I have read here on a few other posts. I can go
down and ask of course.
I have discovered that some 'private land' notice charges can
only be served on the registered keeper without an obligation
for the keeper to divulge who the driver was and there is a 'get
out' possibly. Mine was a very genuine honest mistake.

You will have to wait for the PCN to arrive post that on here
and advice will be provided M&S have started this scheme over
the country and SWMBO fell foul but returned within the parking
period so that was that. M&S can sort the matter so don’t let
this put you off.Any appeal RK only do not mention the name of
the driver.

Sorry to state the bleeding obvious but; keep hold of that
ticket!
