The NTO will have been sent to the name and address on the V5C
Registration Certificate same as the CC you've received. Is the
name and address on the CC correct in all details ? Sometimes an
address error is corrected by Royal Mail because the postman is
familiar with the address and compensates for small errors, but
this cannot be relied on.

The address is correct on the CC, and on the V5C.
I regularly get Islington letters, and NTOs usually. And always
try replying on time etc.
That's why I was a bit shocked to see the CC, as I thought I was
waiting for the NTO on this one.
Im wondering if it's worth calling Islington first, or should I
wait for them to register it. So I can make a statutory
declaration?

If you follow the process, you'll get it back to the place where
it went wrong. However, it can take some time, and you have to
keep checking for debt registration to make sure you don't miss
the Order for Recover stage.
