Hey Peeps,
I have been caught doing 36 in a 30 mile zone. I admitted to be
the driver and now I have a few days left to either pay £100 fee
and accept 3 penalty points or contest this offence.
If I don't contest, I will accrue 9 points on my driving
license.
My previous 3 points to this one, I was doing 24 in a 20 mile
zone.
I am very frustrated and worried getting caught over this and as
I rely heavily on my car to drive around London, I got caught
doing extra speed in areas that I am not familiar with or the
speed limit has changed.
My biggest worry is that if I get another ticket, I will reach
the 12 points and end up being disqualified!
Can someone please advise what I should do next?

Your options would seem to be to accept the CoFP, or to reject
it and defend the case in court.
The obvious question if you're considering the latter would seem
to be "What would your defence be?".

Thank you for moving my post to the speeding/criminal section.
Really appreciate this.
I have to be honest regarding my defence; I have no defence
other than grovelling and apologising for not seeing the signs
or pay attention to my speedometer for the first mistake which I
already have paid the fine. Both times it was genuine error
especially the last one as the entire dual carriageway is on a
40 mile zone but that particular small section is a 30 mile zone
and I noticed it when it was too late.
Don't really know what else I can say.

Then accept the offer and keep an eye out for those big signs
with numbers inside a red circle. The authorities go to a lot of
trouble and expense to put them up.
Grovelling and apologising will not alter the outcome. You will
pay considerably more than £100 by way of a fine, surcharge and
prosecution costs. But you will still see three points imposed.
Have you done a speed awareness course recently?
You could reduce your risk by taking public transport if that is
possible. I'm led to believe London is quite well served.
