30 days PCNs, company did not inform me of price increase

Thank you in advance for your help.
I live in the UK and have a permit that auto-renews every month.
It is linked to my credit card.
The May payment declined, which I was not aware of. In late May
the company sent me a notification informing me of this and
saying I needed to purchase a new pass, and they would send me a
link for backdated payments.
I was confused as to why my bank had declined this. Also if it
helps, I work in healthcare so quite busy and hectic. I checked
my bank, asked around neighbours, and finally asked the car park
company itself if the price had changed. They said they had
increased the monthly price. I did not receive any written or
spoken communication about this.
I set up a new permit, within less than 7 working days of
receiving the email in late May.
However they’ve said that it’s too late now, they won’t offer an
option to backdate payment, and I will be receiving 30 days
worth of PCNs.
I have appealed but know the chances are slim with BaySentry. I
really cannot afford £1800 worth of payments.
Please can someone advise if I have any legal standing? Thank
you in advance

If you have had 30 PCN I would not expect you to post all of
them but a sample would be of benefit. This is a little more
complicated as this appears to be an issue of a possible
resident permit parking. One assumes that there is clauses or
terms in the lease agreement. If you have a direct debit or
standing order which is on a monthly rollout you mention back
dated payments but it would appear there is only one possible
missed payment. If they as you say have increased the monthly
payment then you should have received information. You need to
contact the management service provider to get them cancelled.

Do you still have the first notification about obtaining a new
pass and of them saying about the back dated payments?
Can you post up the first PPN with personal details redacted but
leave dates.
