I've never seen such shameless tosh in a council letter of
refusal ! Their own photos show how inadequate the signage is !
Of course it's your choice whether to take them to London
Tribunals, but they really do need to be shamed in front of an
adjudicator.

;D thanks incandescent. The signs are a lie they were never
there when I drove down the road unless I am temporarily blind.
They've screwed themselves anyway, they cancelled a charge for
the same thing for the same reasons now they've changed their
mind. They may aswell close the road. If I moved there it is
expected if you live near a motorway it's a road.
My defence will be previously cancelled
Then changed the rules transferring the PCN to name me when they
didn't previously and changing their mind again when challenged.
My original defence.
And getting them to prove the signs were there when the PCN was
issued there was no prior warning.
Apparently you can get prior permission from residents or
buisnesses (I was dropping back to Enterprise) so will state
that too.
Is it going to cost or is it tricky going to tribunal?

This is what enterprise sent,reading now I can see that they
said wait for it to be transferred. But if that is the case how
could I appeal the previous one with the same document?
So annoying

The photographs show a lot more signage than we have previously
seen in earlier cases.

There are no additional costs (other than time) in going to
Tribunal. The important thing in registering an appeal is to ask
for a personal (= 'phone or videolink) hearing. Should you lose
the appeal, you are liable for the original undiscounted PCN
penalty.
BUT
AFAIK, no case has yet reached London Tribunals, with H&F
folding (often at the very last moment). It's as if they are
afraid of an adverse tribunal decision.

Thank you both for tge replies, really helpful.
That signage was definately not there when I drove down, no
advanced warning at all.
Hopefully they do give in. Will get a taxi in the future lol

Afternoon just sendinh my appeal online didn't realise there
were restrictions or criteria in which you can appeal. I assume
this is for moving (contravention:failure to comply for
vehicles)
If so this restricts me slighty. Contravention did not occur for
parking appeal mentions no proper signage. Same contravention
only mentions no failure to comply with a traffic sign. Dont
want to fall at the first hurdle. Do I also add I was not the
owner?

OP, I'm still unclear.
This question needs addressing: who is liable for the penalty
charge?
