I was working in the area and recognised the multiple pedestrian
prohibited turns all around the area. This specific sign when
approaching was obscured with black graffiti or paint. Hence why
i made the specific left turn, I was unable to confirm the
signs, not clear adequate signage.
I made this clear during the appeal process, which the LA
haven’t called out explicitly but provided photos and
surprisingly photos taken of the sign and date stamped it as the
same day the alleged contravention occurred!
By the time I received the PCN (cctv) by post and returned the
sign still had some paint on it but looked like the weather rain
or a scrub had reduced the obscurity.
I want to take this forward as the evidence provided by the
local authority, I want to challenge it given the time stamp
isn’t on the photo provided so it could have been cleaned by
staff and photo taken on the same day later on the day. Or more
seriously, it isn’t authentic, I’d like the digital copy to
check the metadata location and time of the photo was taken?

drive link, in the NoR letter the LA have supposedly gone out on
the same day and taken photos of the sign.
You can see from the images the black residue is visible which
obscured the sign

any opinions on this. pushing it up.
[member=24]Hippocrates[/member] given the CCTV does not display
the signage (no left turn) (which was also obscured)
similar to the bus lane appeal with TFL can I prompt them to
prove the sign was there and clean and not obscured with paint
or graffiti spray

pushing this up. for some thoughts
i wanted to check if my appeal for taking the left turn is valid
on the basis:
1. cctv does not display sign (worked with tfl appeal on a bus
lane cctv charge)
2. sign was obscured with black paint, local authority has tried
to mitigate this appeal point I made, with photos of the sign,
taken on the same day I made the left turn. I want to challenge
this and ask for time stamp and digital copy to verify the
metadata that it was truly taken at that time

bump - any advice helpful how to structure challenge to the
photo evidence provided
and video evidence does not show me passing the sign (have won
appeal with tfl bus lane in same manner)

Hi experts, can I ask if the CCTV does not display me passing
the signage is that valid grounds to appeal, I am thinking about
the tfl bus lane cctv appeal argument
additionally the local authority has provided inaccurate
photographs with the sign cleaned. photos from the same day
(date stamped but not time stamped), can I request the digital
copy of said photo to confirm that it was after I had made the
turn.
