Counter claim Britannia Parking

Britannia Parking are taking to me court over an unpaid parking
ticket. I haven't responded to any letters or threats. I have
now done a counter claim for emotional distress. In hindsight I
was panicking and not thinking clearly. I can get a letter from
my doctor if necessary to back up my counter claim, but the
original fee just keeps going up and up . They sre using
unreasonable threats and intimidation. The parking fine came
about because i paid the wrong company to park. I used an app
because there was no clear signage. I have evidence of this too.
I dont know how this will stand up in court though or whether i
should discontinue my counter claim. But it HAS caused me no end
of stress and sleepless nights. Its ridiculous they can get away
with this.

Without knowing any details, the forum does not generally advise
a counter-claim. Britannia will presumably use DCB Legal, who
usually discontinue in the face of a defended claim, but
generally can’t do so if there is a counter-claim attached to
the defence. Is it more important to you to make the claim go
away, or is it more important to extract something from them?
It is unlikely any court would deem sending letters under a
contract entered into by parking as causing emotional distress.
If they claim you owe them money, you either pay or defend.

For the future, do not ignore any of these PPN`s.
It does not look good if it goes to court, these companies will
call it unreasonable.
As stated you need to post up more info.
