PPL Parking PCN – Incorrect ringgocode – Birdcage, Harborne

Parked in local car park on 18th March and sister paid for
parking via ringgo app at the time using location on her phone
to verify it was correct. She paid for parking in the "slug and
lettuce car park" and received the PCN (see photo in link) to
say that parking was not paid for.
I challenged this with the receipt and was informed we should
have paid for "Birdcage" which has a different ringgo code. Then
appealed to IAS stating that there was intention to pay but
there are two areas on the ringgo app which clearly cover the
same area (see screenshots in link) and this was again rejected.
Now have 5 days to respond and am unsure as to next best steps.
Signage on site (see photos in link) shows that the old ringgo
code was covered up with a new one. And unfortunately I wasn't
aware of the existence of this thread before submitting the
appeal to the IAS so feel I may have made a misstep.

Is anyone able to help with this. I have replied via the IAS
saying that I don't believe their evidence was adequate to my
point about the ringgo app but I have had no response. It is now
saying that the case may need to go to the arbitrator but I
don't know exactly who that is. It doesn't sound judicial

This exact thing has happened to me. I parked at the Slug &
Lettuce 4th of April and selected their car park on the App. It
seems they have changed the code since and that car park code no
longer exists. I have contacted Ringgo and asked for proof of
the code change to appeal.

Where have you got with this? I argued it should be ringgo at
fault for not deactivating the code

Hi all - just updating as I appealed this again and was referred
to the 'adjudicator' via IAS. They have once again ruled against
me however RingGo no longer includes both codes for this
specific car park when searching through the app so clearly
they've patched this hole as there was reason to. Is anyone at
all about to over advice or should I just swallow my pride and
lay the fine?
