Speed ticket Court attendance vs pleading guilty by post –
       impact on fine and outcome?

If I plead guilty to a speeding-related offence but choose not
to attend court, will it cost more in fines compared to
       attending in person?
Does attending court in person give a higher chance of a better
outcome (e.g. lower fine or fewer points), or does it not make
       much difference?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I hadn't spotted that your original thread had been locked, did
       you upset someone?

If the speed is too high for a Speed Awareness Course or
COFP,the 2 factors that will affect the level of fine are how
far over the limit you were, and your weekly income.
The fine will be a percentage of your weekly income, with a
discount for an early guilty plea.
In effect, it won't make any difference to the fine whether you
attend in person or allow the Single Justice Procedure to run
       its course.
If the speed is so high that the single Justice is considering a
ban, you will be notified to attend in person.

       That’s all very true.
But the OP refers to a “speeding related offence” and
unfortunately has not troubled us with the details.
Generally speaking, your fine/costs etc. should be no different
whether you attend court or not, provided the court has details
of your income if you do not attend.

       The OP's original thread.

It was locked, presumably because it was a garbled account of
what may or may not have happened and despite a few attempts at
getting the meat off the bones, all we wiser to was that the OP
moved house and didn't update his V5C. However despite not
seeing the NIP until 4 months later (not sure from when though)
he was apparently offered an SAC that he didn't respond to
       either...
We can only assume that the OP now has a SJPN because they
haven't bothered to inform us of that fact.
