Tower Hamlets PCN Contravention Code 01 / Parked in a restricted
       street during prescribed hours

       Hello again everyone,
I received a PCN whilst parked in a Permit Holder C1 bay in
       Tower Hamlets.
I'd parked there, because I was under the impression I had a
permit that would cover me for that area.
The permit I had was C3, but from my understanding of how TH
works, is that any C permit covers the entirity of the C zone.
So for example C3 should be usable in C1. The numbering is from
when they tried to divide the zone further, but had gone back to
       C without numbers.

I've not had this issue before with parking like this in Tower
       Hamlets.

:o I just reread the sign I posted. I can see now why I got a
       PCN.
I feel a bit stupid now. Argh...
Friday theres extra restrictions, and the permit holders is only
       Mon-Thurs.
Any chance of appeal on any other grounds?
P.s. I've checked the spreadsheet, and couldn't tell if anything
       applied to my case.

Looks like you're stuffed on this one too - the sign is clear,
with no the waiting restriction at the top to be read first.
There must be a single yellow line and that's there too.

I don't know what it is, but so many people seem to miss
"seeing" the yellow signs at the top. Maybe its the absence of
text that does it, because the "No Waiting" symbol is used
       instead.

Is it worth appealing, and hope they have some procedural
       impropriety in the response?

We recommend that a PCN should always be challenged. Sometimes
the council will totally ignore your case for cancellation. This
is a "failure to consider" and can be grounds for cancellation
       of the PCN.

You can try asking for discretion based on being a permit holder
and making an honest mistake and you won't do it again... but if
this were Havering, which doesn't reoffer the discount, I'd say
       pay it.

I've been trying to appeal this PCN for a while now. And
       tomorrow is the last day.
The Tower Hamlets site keeps showing internal server error,
       after putting in PCN details.
