They're all very keen to tell you all the signs comply with The
Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016, but not
so keen, (in fact they don't mention it at all), to tell you
about their compliance with The Local Authorities’ Traffic
Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, and in
particular, Regulation 18 (1)(a) which places a duty on them of
'adequacy". Signs may comply with the TSRGD, but it is their
placement and numbers that decide if adequate signage is present
to inform the motorist of the restriction.
