PCN issued for Staion Car Park

Hi
I occasionally use the Market Harborough Station Car Park. Until
recently a ticket was issued on entry and payment made at a
machine prior to leaving. A new ANPR system was introduced in
November 2025.
On my second vist when I got to the machines they were both
rebooting, as my train was imminent I decided it was best to
pay when I returned later that day. The daily charge is £12.
On my return that afternoon I went ot the machine and it offered
a charge of around £2 for the rest of the day or that plus an
additional day giving a total of £14. I paid the £14.
I have now received a PCN.
As I paid more than the daily charge do I have a case to get
this rescinded.
Any help would be much apreciated.

When? There was a significant change to the law at the end of
2025.

You need to post the PCN (both sides) if you want meaningful
advice.

It would be helpful if you can get a picture of the signage as
well, if you paid enough to cover your stay it shouldn't matter
that you paid late but it'll depend on the tariff structure.
