       Good Evening.
I have read few posts on here so hopefully I’m not breaking any
rules. Just need some guidance please. This is on behalf of my
brother, coming back from Luton airport he got issued the
attached. This is his first offence and is really upset. Any
guidance around what he can do to ask for the Met to have
       leniency?
       Kind regards

If it's his first offence he should be offered a speed awareness
course, so no reason to be upset. All he needs to do is return
the form promptly naming himself as the driver.

For the sake of completeness, the relevance of it being a "first
offence" is simply that other than the speed alleged being not
greater than 10% +9mph above the limit. the other criteria for
being offered a course is that he had not completed that course
for an offence committed in the 3 years prior to the current
       offence.
Other than being offered a course, asking for leniency is
pointless unless there is some compelling mitigation that you
have decided not to trouble us with. It's pretty much a sausage
       machine/paint by numbers.
