With the evening night quiet Zoey glanced up at the moonlight
with her eyes closed a moment some how feeling comforted by the
moon's glow even when she was younger she would always want to
be closer to the moonlight no matter where she's at.
"Zoey dear come to bed it's getting late and you have school in
the morning," Zoey's mother called out as Zoey sighed don't want
to go in yet but she complied as she glanced up at the moon one
more time before going inside seeing her mother watching her by
the patio door.
"Do supernatural beings exist," Zoey asked her mom curiously.
"That's just nonsense dear. They only exist in stories we read
or in movies that we watch. They're not real," Zoey's mother
said as she watched her daughter stand there looking outside.
"Go on up to bed you got school in the morning," Zoey's mother
said as Zoey complied and upstairs in her room.
The next day that morning Zoey woke up to her alarm clock with a
sleepy yawn and got out of bed to wash up and after eating
breakfast Zoey left for school. Once Zoey arrived to school she
hung out with her three friends. "My dog wouldn't stop crying
last night so my dad had to put him in the basement and I found
this hanging around his neck. It was so strange," Zoey's friend,
Marcus said as he held up the necklace seeing a crescent moon
and other markings on it.
"Good thing I snuck this out of the house with my parents not
looking," Marcus said as he handed it over let Zoey hold it
seeing her shake as if she's cold. With the tingling gone
replaced with the warmth Zoey inspected the necklace liking the
symbols and after the bell wrung they went to class. Zoey placed
the marked necklace over her cheek so warm like the heat
furnace.
"Ms. Brooks are you okay," a female asked as Zoey glanced at the
councilor wondering what's wrong. "I'm doing okay but what are
you doing here in class," Zoey asked as she glanced around
seeing the other students walking in. "There's a favor I'd like
you to help me with. There's a new student and I want you to
show him around school campus," the councilor said as Zoey
nodded okay and stood up following the councilor after putting
the necklace on.
Once they got to the office Zoey rested her hand over the
necklace feeling as if the heat is surrounding her seeing the
new student smiling at her and after the brief hi she smiled
when he hugged her. "I'm happy to see you wearing my necklace. I
guess the delivery went well last night. You should send your
dog to the vet," the male said as he introduced himself as Jacob
Black and he grasped hold of the necklace. She closed her eyes
with a calm breath and she smiled when he kissed her after her
eyes opened.
"You're warm and you smell good too. The necklace actually ended
up on my friend's dog's neck. "My special love," Jacob whispered
as she reached her hand over his heart and she snuggled closer
in his arms. "Are you a supernatural," Zoey asked as she
explained to him about her moonlight asking. "Is that how you
were able to find me," Zoey asked as she snuggled closer in his
arms another moment and he took her to spend time in the meadow.
"It's beautiful here in the meadow. I love the view here," Zoey
said as she closed her eyes a moment while Jacob watched her and
he came up from behind to hold her close in his arms. Then after
a while spending time together they sat in peace by the
waterfall watching the scenic view together.
"Am I the same like you," Zoey asked as she let him hold her
hand so their fingers intertwined. "You're with me and we'll
protect each other here," Jacob said as he rested his hand over
her heart and he lifted her to hold in his lap. "You smell good.
Is that how you are? The supernatural beings exist right," Zoey
asked as she smiled of his soft kiss.
"They do exist but they can be very dangerous. You're protected
here with me. Don't get too curious or you'll end up getting
hurt. Just be careful for my sake okay," Jacob said as she
nodded and reassured him that she's okay. "I'm careful
everything will be okay," Zoey said as she shifted so that she's
sitting in front of his lap. "Can't you at least tell me who
they are. I don't mind knowing about you either," Zoey said as
he gazed into her eyes with a smile and she snuggled closer
rubbing her cheek against his neck.
With the scents smelling good with the comforting heat she
snuggled closer with her eyes closed a moment to listen to his
heart beat. "It's my priority to keep you safe and protected.
Anything you want to do today or anything you want to know,"
Jacob asked as he soft kissed her hand palm.
"What are your abilities? Can you do magic too," Zoey asked as
she reached over to rest her hand over his heart and inhaling
his warm musky scent."There's plenty I can do you'll be amazed
by it. If you want I can show you," Jacob asked as he gently
caressed her cheek loving her warm feminine scent and she smiled
of his kiss. "Is everybody doing okay," a male's voice asked as
Zoey stood up from Jacob's lap to see that the new male is
shirtless.
"I'm not interrupting anything am I," the male asked as he
glanced at them. "Jacob was about to show me his magic. You're
warm too," Zoey said as she wrapped her arms around his waist to
snuggle but Jacob pried her off. "If you need help protecting
her then I wouldn't mind," the male said as he introduced
himself as Jared, the alpha's wolf second in command.
"Why are you here," Jacob asked as he glanced at Jared while
holding Zoey protectively close in his arms. "Sam sent me to
make sure Zoey is okay and that you don't hurt her," Jared said
as he ignored Jacob's stare. "I can handle taking care of her by
myself without your help. You can go now," Jacob said as Zoey
nudged him to behave.
"Whatever. If you do need help then call me I'll be around,"
Jared said and after the brief good bye to Jared Jacob took Zoey
to the school in the courtyard to food eat. "Promise me you
won't get curious and wander off on your own. Be careful for my
sake okay," Jacob said as she reassured him she'll be careful
and that afternoon they went relaxing in the library.
With Zoey curious still wanting to know who the other
supernatural beings are she rummaged through the history section
of the library maybe clues there that might have information on
them. "Do you need any help," another male asked as she looked
over see his onyx black eyes glisten.
