Rules of this board and how to play.

RPAY stands for Role Play As Yourself, as you've probably picked
up. The very point of this board is to host RPAYs and RPAYs
only. That means you're supposed to roleplay as yourself, rather
than some OC. You can, naturally, change your appearance or even
your species for the sake of the RPAYs. I also strongly suggest
that you use a fake name, probably your screen name for in the
rp. You're not required to use your screen name, but it makes
things easier for the rest of us to keep track of you.
Also, I suggest using first-person POV for RPAYs, since you're
supposed to be roleplaying as your own personality. This isn't
required, but I found it makes it easier not to slip into one of
your OCs, especially if there happens to be a similar plot going
on in one of your other roleplays.
The basic original idea behind RPAYs is this: The collective
creative influence of the hundreds or perhaps even thousands of
roleplayers on WCRPG, xanje, and other similar sites collects
and, in a spike of collective muse from many if not all of the
roleplayers online, goes from imagining to Creating. From this
creative energy, a new world is born, complete with a
preexisting history, characters, creatures, etc. As a side
effect, roleplayers online may have a sudden, massive muse
spike. They may also be thrown into this new world
(traditionally through a swirling rainbow portal), the
inter-worldly transfer typically alters their bodies, but never
their minds. Whatever happens in an RPAY world when roleplayers
are within it happens in a single instant of time in the
roleplayers' original world, resulting in the effect that no
time has passed when they manage to return.
Everything clear? All right. The rules/everything else in the
board are as follows:
Rules: [spoiler]1. Roleplay as YOUR personality, not an OC. The
basic understanding (meaning, true unless stated otherwise in
the rules of the specific thread) is that OCs are allowed, but
they should probably be in-and-out and only to serve the purpose
of the plot.
2. Please don't use your real name.
3. While you may change your appearance or species, if the
species you change into in-RP has any superhuman powers, they
will be negated unless you choose to have one of them as your
specific power (see 4). There are a few exceptions to this: a)
if the form has wings that aren't vestigial, they will grant the
player flight, to varying degrees of proficiency, b) if the body
is an animal that can't speak a human language, the player will
be able to speak through thought-speak, although this will take
some practice, and c) if the body has natural physical
advantages (for instance, if the player is in a tiger's body,
they will be as strong as a tiger and will have the fangs and
claws of a tiger) HOWEVER if this is the case, there must be
disadvantages to the body as well (a tiger doesn't have dextrous
hands, for instance).
4. The basic understanding is that each RPer is allowed one and
ONLY one power. This power must have weaknesses/loopholes.
This may change, however, depending on the specific rules of the
thread. If nothing is mentioned about powers in the rules, then
this applies. It's not up to me to decide on threads (except
ones I create, of course) what powers are acceptable and what
aren't.
6. Seriously, guys, be nice to each other, especially OOC. If
you're a jerk OOC, I'll boot you out of the board after several
warnings. If you're a jerk IC, you're not going to get much
interaction with other RPers, so... just try not to be.
7. The creator of the thread (whichever thread that may be)
reserves certain rights - the final decision in a debate, the
right to boot someone off of their thread if they're being a
bonehead, etc. I won't supercede these for the most part,
although I reserve the right to if necessary.

you're allowed to make your own threads based on that world and
how many threads based on that world are allowed - public means
unlimited, semi-public means up to five threads, semi-private
means up to three threads, and private means only one thread
created by the world creator.
