Freeport Winternights Festival

Date: Friday, January 2nd, 2026 thru Sunday, January 4th, 2026
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST on January 2nd, 2026
End Time: 7:00 PM EST on January 4th, 2026
Location: Freeport
Safe Zone: The village island of Freeport will be a safe zone
for the duration of the event. Locations (PDs) of locations
OUTSIDE of the village will NOT BE SAFE unless you are on a
private ship. No force collaring will be allowed, however if a
woman submits willingly to a man, or she jumps into a bond
circle, she can be collared.
No Sign-Up Needed
Ban list for the room will still apply.
OOC Chatter: Please keep Roleplaying as much as possible. If the
OOC becomes too much that it is flooding out the RP going on
something will be said.

EVENT OVERVIEW
What is it? A large festival that marks the official beginning
of winter and end of the fall harvest period.
Purpose of the Event: To give thanks for the successful harvest
and ask the gods for protection and good fortune during the
harsh winter months.
Activities: Communal feasting, singing, dancing and drinking
will be central to the celebration. Prayers to the gods can be
offered for fertility, peace, and good health during this time.
How would this play out in the home?
- The Merchant Council would open the Great Hall for two nights,
two days, of feasting, gathering, trading, etc. There will be a
separate central square set up in front of the hall for feats of
strength & dexterity will take place.
- Singing, Dancing, Board Games, Gambling, and Fair-like games

Any Member of the Home that attends (participates in an

Theme: Think of it as a Gorean Holiday Celebration, End of the
Year Harvest Celebration
THE PLOT
Before Thassa becomes too hard to travel in the North and cold
winter months, the Merchant Council of Freeport has opened the
Great Hall to all Citizens and Guests for one final gathering of
the year. Traders, Hunters, and People of all walks of life are
welcome to visit, feast, enjoy the fruits of the harvest, the
entertainment and camaraderie of games and performances. The
stage in the Great Hall will be open to Free & Slave alike. The
Stagger on Inn will offer reduced rates to house visitors during
the Festival, the Broken Tabor Tavern will do the same of course
but for Free Men only. For the Free please come visit shops,
forge relationships, make trade agreements for the Spring. For
the Slaves, sing, dance, put on comedy shows, whatever your
owners might permit. The purpose of this gathering is to have
fun before the chill of winter makes everyone retreat to the
warm walls of their homes.
This is not about long posts or eloquence, it's about presence.
The prizes that are available will be raffled off during the
duration of the event at random times!
