Do you reward yourself?

I received an email this morning that I have been invited to
present one of my research projects at a major regional
conference to be held in Minnesota (so going home, possibly).
Of course, my first thought is that I should reward myself! Haha
Do you do this? Do you buy perfumes based on a self-reward
system? I mean, I already have a monthly budget, and quite
honestly, I might have to forego some perfume purchases in lieu
of paying to attend the conference (though they've made Skype an
option for me as well).

Congratulations,
I reward myself for successes and also console myself for
failures - with self-gifts. glad
They are usually perfumes, but also clothes, shoes... Or
possibly an expensive meal. I don't have a system for it though,
I'm more of a spontaneous / impulse buyer.

Ooh! I find that buying when I'm sad or discouraged tends to
make things worse. Because then I end up going over budget and
having unnecessary stress as a result! haha
Besides, I like perfume to have happy connections for me

Congratulations,
I don't really buy perfumes as a reward or for consolation. I
feel like that's setting a precedent, I suppose. If I reward
myself for one good thing, I deserve a reward every time I do
well and, if I don't get myself a reward, does it mean this
achievement is less valuable than the other? I know that's a bit
convoluted, maybe a bit silly, but it's just the way it feels to
me.

I prefer treats to rewards (treats are not tied to specific
actions or achievements).

Yes, I also reward myself with perfume if I've accomplished
something great or reached some sort of goal.

I am more likely to mark an event or occasion, by purchasing a
new fragrance. The concept of rewarding or treating myself, 56
, I am going to have to think about this one.
