When Fragrance Turns Sour...

I just got a fragrance that turned out to have turned sour. It
has this old perfume smell. Is there any way to restore the
original fragrance or is this bad for good? I was so excited
when I received the parcel, then deeply disappointed when I
smelled that old frag smell. I got it much cheaper than store
prices but still, I spent some money on it.

Its probably an old bottle that has turned bad over time, no
restoring it.
Try and get a refund I guess.

While the aroma has turned, the alcohol probably hasn't, so you
can probably drink it to recoup some of your investment...?

You can try to spray until the little tube is emptied. Sometimes
only the fragrance in the tube has turned and the rest is still
good.
It can't be restored :(

No, it can't be restored.
But sometimes, with vintage fragrances especially, they may need
time to 'settle'. I'd say, empty the tube as recommended. Then
place the bottle in a cool, dark place where it won't be
disturbed for a couple of weeks, and then try it again.
Sometimes the opening will be horrid but your beloved aroma will
appear after the opening and the alcohol has faded.
Sometimes, though, a bottle of gorgeous vintage perfume turns
into a display piece. :-\

Thank you all for your replies. Thankfully the seller agreed to
exchange the product and I was able to get a good bottle of a
different perfume in return. 8) thank you everybody for your
replies
