Guild Mission Restructure
DIR By: Stalvros
Date: November 29, 2014, 6:53 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Greetings fellow FOTM members.
This thread is created to discuss the best timing for Guild
Mission!
So, without further ado, lets discuss the best time that every
officer can make
for the Guild Mission! As of the moment, we have unlocked;
- Guild Trek
- Guild Bounty
- Guild Rush
And the current schedule for the Guild Mission would be;
- 1x Guild Trek lvl 2
- 3x Guild Bounty Training
- 1x Guild Bounty
- 1x Guild Rush
So in total, we'd need about 2hrs allocation for the Guild
Mission alone.
(Subjected to change once we have unlocked more missions)
Please discuss the time available for you guys.
For the sake of 'speaking the same time zone', we'd be using
PACIFIC STANDARD TIME.
Please use the following website to convert YOUR time zone to
the PST time zone;
HTML http://www.worldtimebuddy.com/pst-to-est-converter
Additional Note 01;
If you guys have some spare time, as much as possible, try to do
the guild bounty training as well?
(Just do a random unscheduled run with fellow members of FOTM
for the fun of it?)
We could really use the influence. All of the Fractal Herald has
the power to activate the guild mission.
Just make sure to leave 'Guild Bounty Training X 3' for the
actual Guild Mission.
We can always build it up to a max of 10. Ultimately later on,
we need to save up until 1 million influence
points to unlock our own Guild House should Anet implement it
just like in Guild Wars 1.
Additional Note 02;
Try to recruit as many members as possible. Each of the Fractal
Founder and Herald are able to send guild
invites to any members. If they just want to participate for the
Guild Mission every week, then just rank
them as Fractal Helper. If they want to join for good, just rank
them according to their Fractal PR as usual.

I work M-F and am EST, usually home and settled in by 6-8pm
(depends on wife's schedule / what we are doing for dinner etc).
So 3pm PST would be the earliest during the week, Friday nights
are the best for me, Sundays am usually on for a bit and
Saturdays am usually not on much -- RL > Game and all.
For the game, Fridays are not that great as the guild missions
reset on Saturday's -- so moving them to Sunday may be better.
Holidays / Vacations / etc. of course interfere.
U may want to put up links to Dulfy's guides for guild missions;
pretty well done.

So, here are the times I think I could make it, assuming I don't
have company staying with me for the holidays:
Saturday morning: 8am - 11am PST
Saturday afternoon: 2pm - 5pm PST
Sunday morning/day: 7am - 3pm PST
I could also make it Monday evening, but I'm sure that would be
inconvenient for most people.
If I must I can come up with more times to play and lose a
couple of hours of family time but I would not be able to join
on RC if I do so.

Saturday nights are the night to watch/catch up on taped TV with
the Wifey (especially live TV sessions during Dr. Who seasons),
but may be ok to log on for a few hours just for guild missions
if am home.
Sundays are regular chores / get ready for work week / 'Honey-Do
lists' etc.
I follow Barcelona/Argentina/Brazil. top-end Futbol, so weekends
are catch up time and Mondays are bad.
Tuesday = Game releases.
Wednesday/Thursday/Sunday = work nights.
Fridays are best for me unless out of town; but not best for
guild mission reset times.
One or 2 of the founders plus any needed 'officers'? - Stalv or
Miranda plus 1 other or Exo+Balth, Stalv+Exo, etc. I.e. 2 people
on with permissions would be good. 1 to help run things / 2 to
do invites & administrative stuff.
I have used mostly Skype/Ventrilo -- used to join FotM's
RaidCall and been the only member on -- maybe we can get a real
VOIP or piggyback on someone server's Ventrilo? A VOIP service
to have "our own space" is good to get to know one another /
even better to co-ordinate things (much faster to hit 1 key to
ask for "helpers" if everyone on it than type in guild chat).
Miranda, from your schedule there:
1. When you say not able to join "raidcall" (a VOIP program),
could you join but only listen and do administrative stuff?
2. Any times later on Sunday night? I can log on just for Sunday
guild times if know when (vacations etc. permitting) -- would
cramp my 'honey-do list' but whatever.
3. Any times later on Saturday night? Stalv posted Sat times
that don't coincide with yours and Sat day time = suckage for
guild missions, Friday night be better and same deal = just
before guild reset times.
4. See Below about running twice and hopefully we can run 2
times -- once for guild to get everything done and once for
members to get rewards.
Why not do 2 nights? 1 night to get every thing done (imagine
4-6 hours to get everything done for guild especially with
'stops', getting everyone to next WP, getting groups
together/organized, etc/re-running a bounty tier 3 to get people
their merits (though could say "show up XX night for the make up
night) and another night to get everyone what they missed /
need. Challenge and Puzzle require more people than we can
currently muster; Challenge and Bounty get people 2 merits and
Rush/Puzzle only get people 1 merit.
Exo, when is good for you?
--Bounty Training is really only for guild influence; is 3,000
at a 300 cost and 3 days build time so only good for getting the
guild influence if needed (not enough 100% rep members actively
on playing the game). Trek is only for merits and eventually we
won't do or just do a tier 1 for the merits depending on what
guild wants to build. Build times are important; if we could
eventually have enough people logging on / repping 100% we could
speed up builds and build all the missions desired for a week
and also build a guild heroes banner or 2 for every guild
mission plus have hopefully enough to build every +% guild %
(not banners) for Guild + karma/MF what also may be desired and
also maybe also a guild world event (week build time, ugg)
Quick question for everyone "officer-wise":
What are you wanting to do guild missions for?
Stalv:
Miranda:
Exo:
Vari:
Tamer: Help out, don't need the commendations. If you need
commendations Bounty+Challenge = 4, Puzzle = Forever for only 1
and Rush = forever for Guild for only 1.
