Christine Feehan : Addicts Anonymous

[font=georgia]I'm pretty sure I asked this on the original
Forum...but who reads Mrs. Feehan's work? Because for fuck's
sake.
I follow her on Facebook (saying I "like" her on Facebook seems
too creepy even for me) and she recently released all the media
related to "Dark Lycan" and it really stirred up all my old
feelers. I'm incredibly behind on all of her series, but most
importantly her Dark series--my favorite, and actually the first
series of hers I got into. I need to find my box with all her
books in it, and I'm actually looking to get a Kindle just for
her books since the Dark series has so many and keeping them in
order is a bitch and a half. I confess she's one of the few
authors I still read nowadays. I think it speaks a great deal to
her abilities as a writer, though, and she's really very nice
and kind; I've spoken to her once. I'm incredibly proud just to
say she's my literary idol, god I wanna be able to write like
her someday. D;
So, am I alone in this love? I can't be, but I encourage any of
you who are looking for a good read, with good smut (a must for
me, really) and you like romance, check her out. And don't give
me some crap about it being a sappy romance series, because
none of her series are like that. She writes Paranormal Romance,
and there's an incredible amount of depth to anything she
writes. You want something actually creative that is a twist to
the occult creatures like vamps and weres? Fuckin' forget
Twifail. Do yourself a favor, and get sucked into the worlds she
creates. She's what a real, truly creative and imaginative
author should be.
And then come cry with me about how none of those gorgeous,
fucking perfect men are real. {Yanks the lid off a pint of ice
cream, sighing dramatically.} I'll be here patiently eating my
feelings until you do.

I've never read any of her books but I know how important she is
to you therefore I LIVE THROUGH YOU. 8D But I hope to change
that one day because you've got me interested in a few of the
characters themselves. More like all of them maybe. I don't
know. I remember going to the library in PA and they only had
one of her books and it was about two women (I THINK IT WAS
ILYA'S ALEKSANDR'S BOOK IDEK ONE OR BOTH OF THEM IDK) /heavy
breathing I was so close to them and never knew at the time... I
TOUCHED THEIR BOOK AND STROKED THEIR SPINE
okay i'm done. just thought i'd share how much i know you love
this woman and her writing and her series doihoi 8D

when I come visit and I will leave them and you will fall in
love and be all "WHY DOTTIE, WHY" because our obsessions pile up
like Jenga and one day, one day they're going to topple over and
crush us with our own feels.
Also, thank you, now I have Ilya breathing down my neck about
telling you be breathed on your spine too while you were
sleeping but Aleks is looking at both of us like he either wants
us dead or doesn't know us. I plead the fifth, for once I had
nothing to do with any of it. {Slowly sliding away.} ( ;¬_¬)

I GOT FOR YOU and we can play lots of things together like

It's such a great feeling, sharing this with you! Super corny to
say I feel like I'm sharing a part of my heart but that's what
it feels like, much different than the other universes. {Shoving
them all in the corner closet.} They've had the spotlight for
years they can deal with this. {Plops down at Fifi's feet,
clinging to her leg.} You're gonna read all the books and we're
gonna talk in December like a real book club about all the butts
we'd touch and which are our favorite of the Carpathians and sob
because we can't be one/be with one and we'll need therapy and
eventually rehab, but it won't work because we'll just re-read
the series and--
{A boot flies out of the closet, clocking Dot in the head,
effectively silencing her rambling for now...as she's more than
likely unconscious, slumped against Fifi's leg like she was.}

Oh God, I know what you mean when you say you have this surge of
feeling for these characters. How does your favorite author do
that? I do not think I have gotten so attached to characters so
fast (that were not your super awesome OCS like MEALLAN) but I
digress; I appreciate you turning me to this series because I
really did NOT know what I was missing and anyone else who is
not reading this series does not know, either.
But then again, DO YOU REALLY WANT TO SHARE THE CARPATHIANS WITH
ANYBODY? Thirty damn books; my eyes bulged out of my head when
you said that. Somewhere. I think on Facebook. -Throws herself
over Dot's unconscious body.- WHO DID THIS? WHO? WHO WHO WHO?
WHY WOULD YOU TAKE AWAY MY JOY AND WHAT I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO
IN DECEMBER? -Starts licking Dot's face with her healing saliva
which really has no healing properties because she's not really
a Carpathian. So she's just drooling everywhere.-

TOTALLY NOT RELATED TO THIS BOOK BUT I THOUGHT Ya'know since
we're reading Dark Desire together, I have to tell you that the
part where Shea is telling Jacques, "You shut that door, didn't
you? You took it out of my hands and slammed it closed right
from the bed." REMINDS ME OF ANCHORMAN WHEN THAT GUY PUNTED
BAXTER AND RON'S ON THE PAYPHONE IN A GLASS CAGE OF EMOTION ALL,
HE TOOK HIM HE TOOK HIM WITH HIS FOOT, AND HE KICKED HIM THAT'S
whAT he DID
like i said unrelated but i imagined shea in a payphone booth
yelling into the phone, HE TOOK IT HE TOOK THE DOOR WITH HIS
MIND AND SLAMMED IT, SLAMMED IT WITH HIS MIND THAT'S WHAT HE DID
